My financial journey 2.0 is a financial education project developed as a result of a partnership between Junior Achievement Romania and Morningstar Sustainalytics. The project builds on the success of the first edition, which took place during the 2024-2025 school year, and aims to introduce 500 high school students to financial concepts and tools that will be useful in their daily lives as future adults.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The My financial journey 2.0 project aims to engage high school students in applied learning activities that help them better understand the connection between a chosen career path and income, as well as discover and apply concepts and tools for responsible management of their own finances.

EDUCATIONAL CONTENT

Educational activities will take place in the classroom and online, under the guidance of coordinating teachers and Morningstar Sustainalytics volunteers, using a kit of educational materials also available on the JA Learn™ platform.

The educational materials introduce students to topics such as choosing a career path based on priorities and values, the connection between employment and income, the implications of financial decisions for those around them, and how to create a budget. Furthermore, the educational content encourages application- and scenario-based learning among students, who put into practice concepts of healthy communication regarding financial decisions, as well as budgeting and budget management.

• Activities conducted under the guidance of teachers in the classroom, using the educational kit from the JA Learn™ platform
• Workshops and webinars on financial education topics conducted with the support of Morningstar Sustainalytics volunteers in the classroom or online
• JA Innovation Day™, an event in which students work in teams, using their creativity and critical thinking to find solutions to a problem identified in their local community
